Eyelash extensions are individual synthetic lashes that are virtually weightless and come in 2 degrees of curl, 3 different thicknesses and 7 different lengths. This type of eyelash enhancement is NOT the same as department store strip lashes. They are fibers (sometimes called synthetic mink) attached to each individual eyelash and NOT to the eyelid skin and we use surgical-grade adhesive. They create a fuller, longer look. It is an enhanced beauty service for the eyes which allows you to NOT need to apply mascara while wearing eyelash extensions. This is a very meticulous and intense service which requires the skill and precision of a trained stylist/artist. When properly applied lash extensions are so natural looking that it is difficult to tell that you have extensions on – even up close. Extensions come in various lengths, colors and thicknesses, and can be worn during sleep, showering and swimming.
No, not at all – when applied by CRAZY GORGEOUS LASHES. If the stylist/artist technician is not properly trained and qualified, eyelash extensions could possibly damage your lashes – leaving you with unpleasant receding eyelashes. The eyelash extension process is meticulous; your results depend firstly on the skill of your technician and secondly on the product used. The adhesive dries very soft on lashes allowing the lashes to stay flexible and bouncy just like your own lashes. Your eyelash extensions will adhere to your natural lashes softly and comfortably, while not damaging your natural lashes or causing the natural lashes to fall out. Please do NOT remove eyelash extensions on your own.
Warning: There are people who claim to be eyelash extension specialists who have not actually received professional training and who are not certified by the state as a cosmotologist/esthetician. We specialize in eyelash extensions and fills and our stylists/artists are experts! All our stylists/artists are legally certified and will be glad to show you their certifications. So, don’t be fooled! Do your research and ask for credentialing.
The eyelash extensions will stay on your natural lashes for your remaining lash growth/shed cycle. A normal lash growth/shed cycle is 30-60 days. Most people shed natural lashes at a rate of 1-2 lashes – per day, per eye, and will grow a new lash shortly afterward in order to replace the one that has fallen out. So, eyelash extensions can stay on up to 60 days or forever with regular maintenance and proper care. Without a doubt, general aftercare will affect how long the lashes last.
Women ages 16 to 90+. This includes, but not limited to: professional women, brides, women who want to save time getting ready everyday and look glamorous at all times of the day, women who don’t want to worry about mascara smears or clumps, busy moms, and women who don’t want the hassle of eyelash curlers.
Eyelash extensions instantly darken and lengthen your lashes so that you will NOT need to apply mascara. Application and removal of mascara will weaken the bond so it is not recommended nor is it necessary to complete a glamorous look. Applying mascara may also twist the extensions or make them fall out. We strongly recommend that you avoid curling and rubbing your eyes or pulling the eyelash extensions. However, you may wear water-soluble mascara if desired and the mascara must be removed with water-soluble remover.
Yes, at any time and for any reason. They can easily be removed by a CRAZY GORGEOUS LASHES stylist/artist. Please do NOT attempt to remove any lashes on your own—you can damage your natural lashes. We are happy to help you with complimentary removal at our facility.
Remove all eye makeup and clean your lashes with a mild, oil-free cleanser or one of our CRAZY GORGEOUS LASHES stylists/artists will do it for you.
Do not use oil-based makeup removers to clean your lashes prior to the application.
Do not put on any mascara the day of your appointment; we would rather spend your appointment time working on perfecting your lashes.
Remove contact lenses and wear glasses to your appointment or bring a lens case and remove them when you arrive at your appointment.
Plan to set aside 1-1/2 to 2 hours for your full set appointment and 45-60 minutes for your refill appointment. FYI: Many of our clients fall asleep during the procedure and are always amazed when they wake up with gorgeous looking lashes.
Following these important after-care instructions will aid in extending the life of your eyelash extensions. The first 48 hours following your application are most crucial. Here are some easy instructions to practice after application:
Do not rub your eyes, pull your lashes, or scratch them.
Apply eye cream sparingly and avoid the lash line area. Any cream, eye makeup remover, lotion, or cleanser containing oils can loosen the bond of the eyelash extensions.
Avoid direct water spray on your extensions while showering and do not take a steam bath, swim, or wash your face directly with hot water during the initial 48 hours after application of your eyelash extensions.
Do not expose your lashes to any excessive heat such as: an open hot oven (dry heat) or a dishwasher when running (hot steam).
Do not use an eyelash curler. If you do, it will break both the lash extensions and your natural lashes.
Do not rub your eyes or lashes when washing your face. Gently clean around the eyes with a wash cloth or fingers.
Do not pull on your eyelash extensions. This will cause you to lose both your natural lash and your eyelash extension.
Avoid pulling on the eyelash extensions, even the occasional loose ones. You will be given an eyelash brush for occasionally brushing your eyelashes. As your natural lashes fall out due to the growth/shed cycle and for best results, you will need refills approximately every 2 – 3 weeks (depending on how fast your lashes grow). Contact us to make an appointment to have eyelashes replaced. As your natural lashes become accustomed to the extensions, and with a little practice maintaining the lashes, the time between refills can be extended.
For very dark haired people who dye their hair a much lighter color, dark eyebrows can be a dead giveaway. In this situation, tinting the eyebrows one or two shades lighter is an easy and effective way to make the change look more natural. Similarly, blondes and redheads who wish to dye their hair dark may also consider tinting their eyebrows to match. However, you should remember that your eyebrows don’t necessarily have to match your hair color precisely. You are generally advised to keep your eyebrows one or two shades lighter or darker than your hair color.
Greying hair is a natural part of getting older. Whereas some people choose to let nature take its course, others prefer to conceal it. Although plucking the odd stray hair from the scalp is fine, plucking hairs from the relatively sparse eyebrow area is likely to produce unsightly bald patches and leave the brow looking misshapen. For this reason, you are advised to avoid the tweezers and opt instead for an eyebrow tint, which simply dyes the grey to match the surrounding hairs.
Pale, translucent hairs can make the eyebrows look thin and straggly. Tinting these hairs could reveal a neat, shapely brow you never even knew was there. Even though the thickness and denseness of your eyebrow hair can of course not be changed in the tinting session alone, the darker color will make them appear naturally thicker.
It’s amazing what a difference a nice pair of shapely eyebrows can make to the structure of the face. Having neat, defined eyebrows frames the eyes, boosts facial symmetry and creates an attractive high-contrast look.
